Most AI programmes teach tools. They show your team what AI can do – then leave them to figure out what that means for how they specifically work, think, and create.
The result is compliance, not transformation. Teams using AI generically, in ways that have nothing to do with what makes them brilliant.

The belief
AI is extraordinarily good at approximating the middle. The competent, coherent, good-enough work that keeps organisations ticking. There’s a word circulating for what happens when that becomes the default: Blandification.
What survives – what has to survive – is the Human Premium.
The taste, the judgement, the genuine originality that no probability engine can replicate. AI knows frequency and pattern. It doesn’t know why something works. That’s the human job.
But here’s the problem nobody talks about: you can’t charge for what you don’t make visible.
The most urgent skill in the AI era isn’t prompting. It’s Visible Judgement – making the moments of human expertise within an AI workflow legible. To your clients. To your leadership. To the people holding the budgets.

I’m not a technologist who learned creativity. I’m a creative leader who went deep into AI – from the inside of one of the world’s most influential tech platforms.
As ECD across Meta’s international creative function, I spent over a year rolling out AI within creative workflows across seven markets. Watching what happens when AI is imposed on teams versus when it’s built around them. That difference is everything.
Through Plain, D&AD, and the Gen AI Academy, I’ve trained 400+ creative professionals across AMER, EMEA, and JPAC. The work isn’t about tools. It’s about helping teams figure out what AI is genuinely for in their practice – and what they’re not willing to give up.
25 years of creative leadership means I never forget AI is a business problem as much as a creative one.
